(Vatican Radio) The Church in Asia should not be led into lethargy or pessimism by Asian social mega-trends which threaten the fabric of society, the stability of the family and the faith-vision of the Christian community itself. This is the conclusion of the final message of the 10th General Assembly of the Federation of Asian Bishops' Conferences (FABC) which took place earlier this month in Xuan Loc, southern Vietnam.
“The mission of new evangelization, new in its ardour, its methods and its expressions, is urgent,” the statement reads. “It calls for renewed evangelizers with a renewed spirituality, the spirituality of communion, of mission, of new evangelization.”
